Oracle compatibility enables enterprises to migrate from Oracle Database to MariaDB TX, and database administrators and developers to use Oracle Database knowledge and skills (e.g., PL/SQL) with MariaDB TX.
MariaDB TX 3.0 enables developers and database administrators to query data as it was at a previous point in time via built-in system-versioned tables and standard SQL temporal features (e.g., AS OF).
The general availability of the MyRocks and Spider storage engines allows enterprises to support a variety of transactional workloads, often with different characteristics, using a single general-purpose database.
That’s not all!
MariaDB TX 3.0 protects sensitive and/or personally identifiable information (SPI/PII) with data obfuscation for anonymization and full/partial data masking for pseudoanonymization. In addition, with instant add column, it is now possible to add columns without triggering a full table rebuild – enabling schemas to evolve in real time, and without the side effects of traditional schema changes.
